Our Communications director, Gerry Vincent FCIM, has just been appointed to the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s South West Regional board, as ambassador for senior marketers.
The CIM South West regional board is made up of marketing professionals with a common goal – to add value to members in the region.
Gerry’s role on the board will be to support other Fellows of the CIM as well as Chartered Marketers, and her work will include developing an ongoing programme that, as Gerry describes it, “helps them respond to the challenges of meeting customers’ expectations in a fast-moving, data-driven marketing environment.”
She goes on to say, “I’m absolutely delighted to have been appointed into a role that I hope will help deliver the CIM proposition in the South West. I’m even more delighted to have a remit that will focus on the development of skills that will give senior marketers the toolkit they need to succeed in today’s world.
“To achieve this success, marketers have to consent to be students, every day. It’s a mindset thing. We cannot be fearful of change and uncertainty; we have to be curious and we have to be digitally capable.”
Gerry herself is a passionate, life-long learner. She was awarded the Association of Business Leaders Executive Diploma in Digital Business (Distinction) where she was recognized for her focus on strategy development, data leverage, story-telling, customer journey mapping and innovation. She also holds Google’s Post-Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing and the IoD’s Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction.
