Royal wedding cake hits the headlines
The Antiques for Everyone Fair is being held at the NEC from 16th to 19th April and Leader continues to handle the PR for this popular show.
The team has been particularly successful in generating media coverage for this month’s show. Amy has worked closely with the team to identify a great media story which has secured national media coverage. One of the exhibitors is selling a piece of Queen Victoria’s daughter’s wedding cake which has proven to be an extremely popular media story.
Princess Louise’s wedding cake is known to be one of the most ostentatious wedding cakes of the Victorian era. The Royal Family of the time opposed the marriage, but Queen Victoria approved and the couple were married in lavish style. The wedding cake stood 1.52mts tall from its base to the top tier, weighed over 225lbs and was finished in fine white icing.
To date we have secured coverage in the Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail online, Daily Telegraph online, Birmingham Post, Steve Wright’s show on Radio 2 and ITV Central are filming at the fair.
