Royal Leamington Spa Business Improvement District

by | Mar 10, 2016 |

BID Leamington is one of over 150 Business Improvement Districts in the UK.

Funded by local business rate-payers, BID Leamington aims to promote and enhance Royal Leamington Spa’s town centre to make it attractive to visitors, customers and investors alike.

Leader’s role is to support the BID team with a programme of PR and media relations activity that highlights events such as the 2012 Jubilee Tea Party and the very successful annual Food and Drink Festival. We also help promote community activities such as the very popular Christmas Lantern Parade which attracts hundreds of families, and work with BID to generate customer awareness and drive footfall through the Golden Ticket promotion. Digital and social media also plays a big part in promoting Leamington to shoppers, diners and tourists visiting the town so the use of Facebook advertising and competitions through Twitter and Facebook has helped to grow the town’s fan base and provides valuable visitor analytics to the BID.

The BID’s Executive Director Stephanie Kerr said: “We recently secured a further five years in post after a successful “yes” vote by local businesses. Working with our Leader account director was certainly very helpful in offering a fresh perspective on our campaign as well as supporting us on media relations. The social media expertise provided by Leader has also been an invaluable support to our in-house team.”
