Gerry has worked in PR and communications for more than 13 years, delivering award-winning campaigns at some of the country’s top PR consultancies, Porter Novelli and Shandwick and on behalf of UK plcs. 

She has been Head of PR and communications for WHSmith News and Head of BANC, a PR consultancy based in Oxford overseeing accounts including John Lewis and Oxfam.  When BANC merged with top international branding agency, Lloyd Northover, she became their Director of PR. 

She has recently created and overseen a campaign on behalf of UK magazine publishers, to publicise Magazine Week 08,that delivered unprecedented national, broadcast and online coverage for the client.  One of her main focuses, however, is promoting green and sustainable products – she achieved a 73% hike in coverage for Kingspan Environmental in 2007. She puts down her love of media relations down to being married to a BBC journalist…!
