Award-winning public relations and marketing communications consultancy Leader Communications has appointed Alister Foye as associate director as it looks ahead to an exciting 2018.
Alister brings to Leader a wealth of experience from twenty years in public relations, journalism and content marketing, thanks to a broad church of client, agency and consultancy roles. This includes; Britannia Building Society, RWE npower, Arval, Invensys, Taylor Wimpey and The Telegraph Group. He also spent several years as a visiting lecturer in PR and marketing at Birmingham City University and launched designer tattoo chain Vivid Ink in 2011, supporting the business from start-up to a successful chain of six studios across the Midlands.
At Leader, Alister will lead on existing business and consumer PR and integrated accounts for Dymag Performance Wheels and Muffin Break, with a remit to develop new business opportunities with an emphasis on integrated marketing communications activity.
Alister commented: “I was fortunate, thanks to my degree in public relations at Bournemouth, to begin my career with a broad perspective on what public relations can be; particularly in leading integrated campaigns.
“So I set out to realise this through experiencing public relations in as many industries and sectors as possible, across client-side and agency. This has taken in many varied and wonderful challenges, but each role has broadened my core skill set and strengthened my belief that public relations is far more than chasing column inches: public relations is an instinct for engagement, which is more relevant now than ever.”
“Leader greatly excites me as they challenge the agency norm. The director-led approach contrasts sharply with most agency methodologies; at Leader, every client has a deep and meaningful relationship with a dedicated director, rather than the light-touch approach common elsewhere – this, plus the creative hub, adds significant value to clients and to our proposition.”
James Holden, Leader managing director said: “Alister brings vitality to Leader. He is deeply passionate about the potential for public relations and communications to deliver tangible commercial results for clients; he is also integrated to his core. 2018 is already looking exciting for Leader as our director-led approach chimes with more and more businesses. Our ambitions for the year ahead are high, and I know Alister will be integral to our growth and development.”
Leader Communications is an award-winning consultancy and was a Finalist in the recent Coventry Telegraph Business Awards 2016, as well as James Holden being highly commended as Director of the Year at the IoD awards in 2017.
Originally founded by James Holden’s father Bryan in 1965, Leader employs a team of client facing directors, each specialists in their field, plus a hub of support staff, all working from a rural headquarters just north of Stratford upon Avon, in the heart of Warwickshire.
